Physics vs Chemistry — Two Different Exams
Physical Sciences splits into Physics (Paper 1) and Chemistry (Paper 2). Paper 1 covers Mechanics, Waves, Sound & Light, Electricity & Magnetism — expect calculations, vector diagrams, and graph interpretation. Paper 2 deals with Atomic Structure, Bonding, Chemical Reactions, and the Mole Concept. A common mistake is treating them the same way: Physics needs strong numerical practice, while Chemistry demands precise terminology and equation balancing. The formula sheet provided in the exam is useful only if you know when to apply each equation. Past papers reveal which topics examiners favour each year.
